APAC Comms Carnival 2021

APAC Comms Offsite is held annually by Google as an internal cohesion event for Googlers to come together and look back at a year’s worth of achievements and celebrate their success and progress. Every year’s event is specially themed, with activities and sharing sessions lined up for all and as a day for everyone to relax, unwind, bond and get to know their colleagues on a deeper level.

Elements such as circus act shows, the viking ship, roller coasters etc are quintessential rides which you see in most fun fairs and carnivals. These elements are integrated into the typography to form a logomark for the APAC off-site event. By integrating these elements into the logomark, it provides another dimension to the type itself.

APAC Comms Offsite 2022: Magic

Alphabets within logotype are done in a 2D isometric style to give it more dimension. The pale yellow curves and wand complement each other to indicate the moment of the wand. The wand is being “waved” and the words ‘APAC COMMS’ appears, which is the magic. The magician’s hat acts as a signifier of magic, and is used as the starting point where the magic lies/starts.
