FY19/20 Annual Report
The National Gallery Singapore (NGS) is one of Singapore’s leading cultural institution. The 2019 Annual Report’s theme was inspired by their slogan “Let Art Surprise You”. The concept behind the entire annual report was to showcase surprising facts about the gallery and its collections.
The cover features a die-cut of the word ‘ART’ and concertina-fold to provoke curiosity in its readers and intrigue them, to go through the annual report in search of surprising facts.
The National Gallery Singapore’s 2019 Annual Report clinched a Silver in Print/Annual Reports at International Design Awards 2020 under Print/Annual Reports.

FY20/21 Annual Report
The Gallery’s 2020 Annual Report revolves around the concept of “Let Art Enrich You”, which introduces the idea that art can be interpreted and perceived differently by many. There is no one way to view art – and there is so much more to uncover than what is seen on a surface level. This idea of there is so much more than meets the eye, is reflected in the Annual Report through the use of the crossword puzzle, where any one letter can be used as a starting point for the formation of a combination of words with multiple meanings.
As part of the look and feel of the report, the crossword is used as a graphical element with the cover featuring a die-cut crossword puzzle and Khoo Sui Hoe’s Children of the Sun.
